I am a psychiatrist with extensive experience with patients suffering from depression, anxiety, addictions, and eating disorders, and I also practice family and couples psychotherapy.
My approach to treatment is to focus on what I consider the three fundamental pillars of a consultation for a mental illness: Empathy, necessary for a good doctor-patient relationship.
Psychotherapy that fosters self-knowledge; and taking into account the neurobiological factors of the illness and, in selected cases, providing appropriate pharmacological treatment with few side effects.
The great advantage of an in-person psychiatric consultation is the possibility of a direct and personal analysis. In addition, signs or actions can be observed that can help identify the problem.
Online consultations allow for care in locations where in-person consultations are not available. The convenience and speed of accessing medical care, without having to travel to the office.
The clinic aims to help most people in need, but it specializes in young people (ages 13 and older) and adults. This is done in order to provide the best possible care.
During my training at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX, I was able to refine and enhance my medical language skills, ensuring that I could clearly communicate my diagnosis in English during my consultation.
